"The biggest issue for WBW is the lack of systems/ staff for the operating of the dam with the commencement of the wet season so WBW should give priority to finalise this O&M manual and train staff to operate and maintain the equipement".

3.11 Condition DS 10- Annual Periodic Inspections

According to the Safety Conditions, annual inspections of Lenthals Dam are  required by the 1 November every year and notification to DNRW by 30 of Novemeber.

There was no record of annual inspections carried out on the dam.  With the completion of the dam upgrade works, annual inspections should be programmed for 2008.
